Aedon is an alternative rock band from Germany. In their songs, Aedon achieves the perfect blend of energy, lightness, and melancholy. This makes them appealing to anyone who enjoys guitar music. Surprising chord changes, three-part harmonies, and varied songs also appeal to die-hard rock fans. The band was founded in 2015, and a year later, their EP “Leaves Turning Red” was released. After a few single releases Aedon played shows in China, France and The Netherlands and recorded a three-song EP „Raise Your Voice“ in the Chefrock Studios in Hamburg, Germany.

The band’s name Aedon goes back to the Ancient Greeks. Aedon, a mortal woman, tragically killed her own son in a fit of jealousy. Believing her husband's love had shifted to another woman, she sought revenge by murdering the woman’s child. But she killed her own son by mistake. Overwhelmed by guilt and grief upon realizing her terrible mistake, Aedon was transformed into a nightingale by the gods, forever lamenting her actions through her haunting song.
